Our non-thermal high pressure spray cleaning technology was designed to decontaminate and clean large sections of contaminated or dirty pipeline using a variety of cleaning agents. We have cleaned many different types of pipeline systems including natural gas, fuel oil, chemical, process water and storm sewers. The system not only can decontaminate the pipeline surface but also flush and clean the line free of debris and obstructions.
Although effective for many pipeline cleaning applications, our high pressure spray cleaning technology was primarily developed for the decontamination of PCBs in natural gas transmission pipelines. Our spray cleaning system when used for Mega Rule compliance holds a nationwide permit from the US EPA to decontaminate PCBs in metallic pipe and metallic piping. When cleaned by our system the pipe segments are considered "non - PCB" and are not regulated for disposal or distribution in commerce except when any use would involve food, feed or drinking water. The pipe segments may be abandoned in place with no further required action, including listing the pipe on the EPA one-call system, or removed from the ground and disposed of as “non-PCB”scrap material. It is important to note that a line cleaned by our system may also be leased as conduit for electrical or fiber optic cables. As PCBs are removed from the pipe, another advantage of our technology is the elimination of long term environmental liability. This is not the case when using a cement or foam grouting process that merely encapsulates the contamination and ultimately, the liability.
In most situations, we are capable of cleaning over 2,000 feet of pipeline per day when utilizing the spray cleaning system. The amount of pipe that can be cleaned in one day depends upon the location, size and construction of the contaminated pipe as well as the preparation of the access pits.
This method is also an excellent way to clean a large amount of contaminated pipe that needs to be removed from the ground. Prior to removal, we can treat the pipe so that it can be removed as scrap as soon as it comes out of the ground. This process will save you a considerable amount of time and money as you will not have to cut the pipe into small sections for transportation and disposal. Under our permit, we can also decontaminate pipe sections that have been removed from the ground.

Our US EPA permitted non-thermal high pressure spray cleaning technology for MEGA RULE compliance is based on a fixed daily price, regardless of the amount of pipe available to clean. Therefore, you can reduce your costs dramatically if you have several large sections of contaminated pipe available to be cleaned. The fixed daily price includes up to a 10 hour "on-site" day, depending upon our travel time to the project location. The program includes the following resources:
