Mark Miller is a seasoned executive with over 35 years experience in the energy, environmental and marine transportation related industries. His career has spanned a variety of fields including marine insurance in the London marine insurance market, hands on startup and executive function through his role as founder of EnviroJet Technologies as well as co founder and President of National Response Corporation. Mark has been the CEO and owner of Miller Environmental Group ( MEG) since 1999 and has shaped a culture of problem solving and excellence in client centric service. The firm has broadly expanded its scope of services and geographic footprint under Mark’s leadership. He has overseen his firm’s involvement in such events as the 9-11 attacks on The World Trade Center, Deepwater Horizon/ BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts and numerous high profile , high stakes projects such as chemical factory explosions, train derailments, aviation disasters, major energy infrastructure projects, and international environmental crises. He has received recognition for his work including the United States Coast Guard Public Service Commendation, SeaTrade Award for Innovation, and Cornell University Environmental Steward Award. Mark is deeply committed to public service and sits on the Board of Directors of Perlman Music Program, Board of Trustees University of Charleston, Advisory Board of East End Arts. He has guest lectured at such institutions as New York Law School and Fort Schuyler Maritime College and is often sought out for comment on the industry by such media outlets as Time Magazine, Fox Business News, Newsday and Der Spiegel. He attended The University of Charleston and Sophia University in Tokyo Japan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and was awarded a Doctor of Laws, Hon. LLD from The University of Charleston.
Mr. Wallace possesses in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the Environmental Services business including emergency preparedness and response, site assessment, decontamination, waste characterization, transportation, and disposal. He also has extensive experience as direct liaison with numerous regulatory agencies and representatives including but not limited to US EPA, USCG, OSHA, DOT, and many State Environmental Agencies. George has written and developed multiple Contingency Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Health & Safety Plans, and Storage, Decontamination, & Disposal Standard Operating Procedures.
Mr. Coogan possesses in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the Environmental Services business including emergency response, site assessment, decontamination, waste characterization, transportation, and disposal. He also has extensive experience as direct liaison with numerous regulatory agencies and representatives including but not limited to US EPA, USCG, OSHA, DOT, and many State Environmental Agencies. Jerry managed many large scale projects and contracts ranging in crew size from 10 to 1500 people and equipment purchases and negotiations from $10,000 to over $5,000,000.
Mr. Horyczun is 30 year seasoned financial professional with over 20 years’ experience in the environmental services industry. He is extremely knowledgeable in all phases of management and financial accounting as well as auditing and internal control. He has extensive experience in establishing and managing field accounting function for major projects.
Ms. O’Brien is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 20 years’ experience. She is a SHRM-certified Human Resources professional with diverse experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, and benefits. She is knowledgeable in Federal and State regulations including DOL, EEO, FLSA, FMLA and general DOT & OSHA. She has an exceptional ability to identify top talent, as well grow and develop employees and managers.
